Dr. Juergen Kunz

Dr. Juergen Kunz is Managing Director of the Kienbaum Holding GmbH, Deputy Chairman of the Kienbaum Consultants International GmbH, President of the Board of Directors of the Kienbaum AG in Zurich, and partner at the Kienbaum und Partner GmbH.

Dr. Juergen Kunz studied law and economics in Bonn and Muenster, specializing in occupational, business, and commercial law and national economics. He then embarked on a series of internships in the USA with one of the leading international joint practices, where he dealt with mergers and acquisitions and international arbitrations to expand his expertise in the field. After returning to Germany, he attained his doctorate at Berlin with research on questions of liability in going-public processes with special consideration for EEC law.

Dr. Jürgen Kunz is a renowned Corporate Governance expert, with special professional interest in questions pertaining to directorial, supervisory, and top management positions. At Kienbaum, he is considered an expert in matters of personnel and management practice with particular expertise in areas of strategy, enterprise structuring, controlling, and legal, HR, and fiscal questions. In addition to this, Dr. Kunz is regarded as one of our leading minds on demographics, the labour markets, and occupational law.

In 1998, Dr. Jürgen Kunz was appointed to join Jochen Kienbaum as Managing Director of the Kienbaum Holding GmbH. The appointments as partner in Kienbaum und Partner GmbH as well as Managing Director of Kienbaum Consultants International GmbH followed in 1999 and 2001 respectively. His latest appointment as deputy of Jochen Kienbaum at the helm of Consultants International GmbH followed in 2006.
