Dr. Tiemo Kracht
Dr. Tiemo Kracht is Kienbaum Executive Consultants GmbH’s Managing Director with responsibilities for the executive search services of the Kienbaum Group. Dr. Kracht’s duties also include the management of the company’s Hamburg offices as well as the leadership of the Financial and Public Services sections.
Before joining Kienbaum, Dr. Kracht’s career included a directorship at the Heidrick & Struggles Unternehmensberatung GmbH &Co. KG, with Senior Partner duties for the company’s Financial Services &Public Services activities. He worked on placements for top positions in the banking and insurance industry as well as the entire financial services industry, including asset management, real estate, finance IT, transaction banking, automotive banks, leasing, credit card providers etc. With the addition of Dr. Kracht and his financial services team, Kienbaum Executive Search has gained further invaluable expertise in the financial services sector.
Dr. Kracht has over twelve years of experience in executive search / management search work, with a special focus on the financial services industry. Apart from the staffing of directorial, executive and specialist positions, he has also been involved in product development in Kienbaum’s Management Diagnostics business line, which has also benefited from his interdisciplinary expertise in a series of management audits.
Before his work at Heidrick & Struggles, Dr. Kracht had spent over eight years as Manager, Partner, and Managing Partner at Ray &Berndtson’s German consultancy operations, with directorial responsibility for the company’s financial services activities. In the course of his duties, Dr. Kracht was responsible for the successful placement of more than 400 management positions.
Dr. Kracht has studied economics and social science at the University of Kiel, Penn State (U.S.) and the Comenius University of Bratislava / Slovakia, gaining his diploma and Ph.D. before taking up a three-year teaching assignment in the United States. Over the course of his career, Dr. Kracht has been employed at the PROVINZIAL Versicherungen in Kiel, the office of the Prime Minister of the State of Sachsen-Anhalt, and the Norddeutsche Landesbank Girozentrale (NORD/LB) in specialist and executive positions, with particular interests in marketing, communication and sales duties.
