Dr. Hendrik Balonier
Dr. Hendrik Balonier is Managing Director at Kienbaum Executive Consultants GmbH. He also serves as General Manager of Kienbaum Berlin GmbH.
After studying mathematics, literature, and philosophy at the universities of Stuttgart and Frankfurt, he attained a PhD in Philosophy in 1982. Dr. Balonier started his business career as a project manager for a concert and promotional company in Germany. In 1986, he moved on to become a researcher at R.S.V.P. Management Consultants, where he was appointed as a partner in the following year. After two further years, he was promoted to the Chief Executive Officer’s post at the company. In 2001, Dr. Balonier became a partner in Heidrick & Struggles, where his responsibilities included the Health Care and Pharmaceuticals consulting practice at the company’s Berlin office.
Dr. Balonier has more than 20 years of experience in executive search work and is a proven expert in the field for all management levels. His focus industries include mechanical engineering, defence, automotive, and chemicals, placing top managers at clients in Germany, the US, UK, Russia, France, Spain, and Italy.
