For a period of more than a decade, the energy industry has been witnessing changes that cut to the core of its business environment. At the same time, the entire sector has remained very effective when it came to mastering both companies’ internal and the industry’s wider consolidation processes.

Since the early phases of liberalization in the energy markets, Kienbaum has been offering assistance and advice for the entire sector in all of its business lines (electricity, gas, water, heating, sewage) and along all links of the industry’s value chain (from production to billing). We can rely on our experience from a total of approx. 60 projects on a diverse range of issues that we are called upon to manage for companies in this industry every year.

Our experience points towards two central challenges: the first of these addresses the problems of “normal” businesses, such as questions of their strategic direction (for individual business areas), organizational adjustments (reaping the effects of specialization) and costs management (maintaining performance).
