Which application documents do you require?
For a complete application, we need your covering letter, CV, school-leaving and university diploma as well as relevant letters of reference. If you are interested in an internship, please also tell us when and for how long you would like to join us and which areas you are particularly interested in.
Which format do you need my application documents to be in?
You have the opportunity to apply online for any position at Kienbaum. Every job posting will include a direct link to our applicant portal, where you will be guided through the application form and given the option of uploading any documents from the comfort of your home computer. If you have any questions, you can always contact our recruiting team.
Are there any deadlines I should remember?
There are no set deadlines, because we are looking for interns and new consultants throughout the year. However, you should ideally plan for two or three months before the start of your internship / new job.
How is the application process structured?
After we have taken in your documents, you will receive a confirmation in writing or by phone. We will get to know you first in a phone interview. Promising candidates are then invited to a personal interview at one of our locations, followed by an individual assessment center or additional interviews.
Who is Kienbaum looking for?
We are interested in people with above-average university degrees (master / diploma) and first consulting-relevant experiences at leading companies. In addition to being very driven and customer service minded, you should contribute very good analytical and conceptual competences as well as strong social skills that you have already shown in relevant internships and / or projects. You should also show convincing skills for teamwork, a strong sense of initiative, and a resilient nature.
How long does an internship take?
Typically our internships last three to six months. In exceptional cases, this can be reduced to two months.
What happens after an internship?
Excellent interns are included in our internship alumni program “students@kienbaum (mailto:“students@kienbaum)”. We do this to keep in contact with our first-rate interns.
Can I complete my bachelor / master / diploma dissertation at Kienbaum?
We will generally try to offer you an opportunity to do your research for your dissertation at our company. However, this can only be done as part of a regular internship and should be agreed with the department or area in question beforehand. Ideally, you should announce your intentions to complete your dissertation at Kienbaum immediately in your application. We will then check which options we can offer you

What would a typical day at Kienbaum look like?
No two working days of a consultant at Kienbaum are alike, depending on the area and project he or she is working on. While consultants in HR projects are often in charge of several smaller or short-term projects at once and might visit several clients every week, there are strategy and implementation projects that need our consultants to spend five days a week with our clients over the course of several months. The one constant at Kienbaum is variety – in projects and subject matters.
