The first day of 2016 brought another first: A set 30 percent women’s quota for the supervisory boards of listed companies and companies with labor representation at board level. A recent Kienbaum study suggests that co-determined supervisory boards will achieve the target of 30 percent latest by 2020; other supervisory boards are expected to reach the quota by 2021. Many enterprises have already set themselves targets and deadlines for achieving female representation on their boards and the two highest management levels.
