Dr. Tiemo Kracht is Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kienbaum Executive Consultants International and responsible for the entire executive search business of the market-leading Kienbaum Group on a worldwide basis. In addition, Dr. Kracht is responsible for Kienbaum’s U.S. as well as Nordic business and the Hamburg branch.

Previously, Dr. Kracht held the position of a Managing Director of Heidrick & Struggles International Inc., Chicago, being responsible for the German speaking countries and being a member of the European Management Committee. As a Senior Partner of Heidrick & Struggles he personally conducted various board level searches. Prior to this assignment, Dr. Kracht was equity partner and served as a Managing Director of the globally operating executive search firm Ray & Berndtson International, based in Frankfurt am Main.

Dr. Kracht has a convincing track record in the executive search business of more than 21 years and has a far-reaching cross-branch network in Germany, Europe, the United States and beyond and has successfully conducted more than 1.000 top-level search projects on a national and international basis. Furthermore, Dr. Kracht has also participated in the product development “Management Diagnostics” and successfully completed various Management Audits / Assessments in on a cross-industry basis.

Dr. Kracht studied economics, political science and history at Kiel University / Germany, Penn State / USA / UNESCO Chair, Comenius University, Bratislava, Slovakia. He holds an B.A. in French and History, a Masters Degree in Economics and Social Science as well as a Ph.D. in Political Science. After holding senior management positions in the public sector and different industries (sales & marketing), Dr. Kracht decided 1995 to move into the Executive Search business and is now “one of the most distinguished executive search professionals in Germany” (DIE WELT) and “one of the most influential headhunters in Germany” (WirtschaftsWoche 01/2014).
