Producing around 600,000 tons of snacks including potato chips, nuts and baked products, 33 national and international brands, the Intersnack Group is one of the leading manufacturers of savory snacks in Europe. The privately owned company with innovation, entrepreneurship, creativity, and teamwork at their core, generated a cross turnover of 2.5 billion euros in 2017. Headquartered in Cologne, Germany, Intersnack’s around 12,500 employees continuously ensure quality and taste of the savory snacks.
The Project
With the purpose to tackle this challenge, Intersnack, together with Kienbaum, implemented the Intersnack Working System (IWS). Initially, Kienbaum provided theoretical insights, which aimed to establish a common understanding of change management and leadership. With the following coaching and training sessions, Kienbaum helped to develop necessary skills in servant and situational leadership. Diverse techniques such as role plays, business cases and group discussions allowed participants of the Intersnack management to discover and practice strategies of effective communication and leadership interactively.
