Since publication, our study of boards of directors and supervisory boards, together with the related “fireside chats”, has become established as a permanent forum where these boards can discuss current issues of corporate practice and leadership in an exclusive setting. This platform serves not only as a space for the exchange of experiences but also as a way to advance understanding related to corporate governance standards and compliance.

We focused our study on the subject of “corporate governance 4.0 – the work of supervisory boards in addressing legal requirements, added value and digitization.” Requirements for the fulfillment of governance duties are changing, not only because of legislation and regulations but also through digitization. Which competencies will be important to the work of the supervisory board in the future? Do companies recognize the actions that are required? What are the challenges confronting you in this area?

Once again, the core of this document is the empirical survey. This was conducted using a questionnaire on “corporate governance 4.0 – the work of supervisory boards in addressing legal requirements, added value and digitization.” We believe that the study shines a light that can already reveal the answers to certain questions.
