Art and Kienbaum

Color and Abstraction

The Kienbaum Collection, which has been compiled by Jochen Kienbaum since the 1970s, comprises around 1,500 works of contemporary art, including paintings, sculptures, objects and works on paper. Under the term Color and Abstraction, the collection brings together works of European and American artists. The collection focuses on the artists Günther Förg, Bernard Frize, Imi Knoebel, Fabián Marcaccio, Richard Allan Morris, Carl Ostendarp, David Reed and Jorinde Voigt. A special area of the collection are artists’ publications, from which the own edition of the Kienbaum Artists’ Books also originates.

The majority of the collection is permanently exhibited in the German offices of Kienbaum Consultants International GmbH. The collection is presented to the public through loans to museums and thematic exhibition projects within the company headquarters and at external cooperation partners.

Events

The collection and exhibitions are regularly accompanied by vernissages, guided tours and talks with artists – for our colleagues and customers alike.

Art polarizes and unites people. That's why the synergetic connection between a company like Kienbaum, which deals with all consulting questions around the human success factor and art, is so obvious.

EXHIBITIONS

Since 2017, regularly changing exhibitions have been arranged at the headquarters, e.g. with the artists of the Kienbaum Artists’ Books Edition, artists associated with the collection or curated presentations of the collection’s holdings.

In addition, parts of the Kienbaum Collection are presented in museums, art associations or at events.
